This Antique and Original Mappe Monde (World Map) is a fine depiction in double hemisphere representation of the world by S. Robert de Vaugondy, Geographer. Corrected and augmented by discoveries from Captain Cook of his three Voyages in the early 1800's. Created in 1821 The double hemisphere format of the map allows for a simultaneous view of the Eastern and Western Hemispheres, providing a clear and balanced perspective of the Earth as understood during the time of its creation. From Paris, House of Felix Delamarche and Charles Dien, Rue du Jardinet No. 13. The Map is framed and under Museum Glass and makes for a wonderful and interesting view at my Gallery.
